What is pingyou?
pingyou is an AI messaging agent for Instagram business and creator accounts. It answers DMs, post comments and story replies instantly, 24/7, in your own style. It answers product and service questions and guides customers toward a purchase. If it’s asked something it doesn’t know, it hands the conversation over to you.
Who is pingyou for?
Any business that sells on Instagram, from boutiques to furniture stores and from cosmetics brands to travel agencies.
Will the replies sound robotic?
No. pingyou bases its replies on what you’ve written, the sample answers you’ve given and your language. It answers with the same word choices and clarity, so customers feel like they’re messaging you.
How does it reply to my customers the way I would?
When you connect your account, pingyou reviews your last 30 days of conversations. It turns your customers’ frequent questions and your answers into scenarios and learns your tone. You can edit the scenarios or add new ones at any time.
What language does it use with my customers?
It replies to your customers in your business’s own language. It picks up that language from your conversations and content, so there’s no separate language setting. The app itself is available in Turkish and English.
Do I need technical skills or coding?
No. Setup needs no technical knowledge, and you can finish it yourself in a few minutes.
What kind of Instagram account do I need?
An Instagram business or creator account. One Instagram account can be connected to one business.
Is my Instagram account safe? Do I need to share my password?
No. You connect through Instagram’s official login screen, and pingyou follows Meta’s rules. Your Instagram password is never shared or stored.
Which messages does it reply to?
Instagram DMs, post comments and story replies.
How does it learn my products?
It analyzes the posts you choose with AI and extracts product details from the caption, comments and image. You can add your own notes to this information at any time.
What happens if it gets a question it can’t answer?
It doesn’t make things up. It doesn’t send the customer a reply, marks the conversation as “Action Needed” and notifies you on WhatsApp. Once you add the missing information in the app, everyone who asked that question and is waiting gets an automatic reply within a few minutes.
Can I reply to customers myself too?
Yes. If you reply to a customer, pingyou leaves that conversation to you for the time you choose: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 1 day.
Are replies sent right away?
You decide. For DMs and story replies, answers can go out immediately or after 1, 5, 10 or 30 minutes.
How does it reply to comments?
There are two options: write a short reply under the comment and send the details by DM, or continue the conversation in the comments.
Does it reply to messages at night and on weekends?
Yes, pingyou works 24/7. There’s no business-hours setting. If you want, you can turn pingyou off completely or for specific channels in the settings.
What if it gives a wrong answer?
The more you expand your scenarios, the better wrong answers are prevented. Keeping your information up to date in pingyou is enough. When it isn’t sure about something, it doesn’t guess; it hands the conversation over to you.
Can I try it before going live?
Yes. Every plan includes 100 test messages in the test screen before you go live. On paid plans, you keep 50 test messages a day after going live.
Can I use pingyou on WhatsApp, TikTok or my website?
Right now it only works on Instagram. WhatsApp is used only to send you notifications. We’re working on WhatsApp and website chat.
Does it integrate with Shopify, ikas or Trendyol?
Not yet. pingyou learns product information from your Instagram posts and the notes you add. We’re working on e-commerce integrations.
Does it understand voice messages?
Not at the moment.
Can I connect more than one Instagram account?
Right now, one dashboard manages one Instagram account. Several people from your team can manage that account.
Can agencies use pingyou?
Yes, by connecting your client’s Instagram account. Broader agency features are on our roadmap. White-label (offering pingyou under your own brand) isn’t available yet.
Can it send payment links, book appointments or handle returns?
No. It doesn’t create payment links, invoices, order confirmations or appointments, and it doesn’t process returns or cancellations. At these steps, it hands the customer over to you.
Which plan is right for me?
Look at how many customers message you each day. For example, if around 50 customers write to you daily, Grow’s 1,500 monthly conversations are more than enough.
What counts as a conversation?
pingyou’s first reply to a customer uses 1 conversation. For the next 24 hours, all messages with that customer across DMs, comments and stories count as the same conversation. Conversations pingyou hands over to you, replies you write yourself, replies that couldn’t be delivered and test messages don’t count. Your conversations renew every month, on yearly plans too.
